The Lehighton Area School District is planning on offering a program at the Elementary Center for students in grades K-5 who have experienced learning loss due to COVID-19. We are conducting a survey for parents to complete in order to help us best meet the needs of students who have experienced learning loss. Please complete this short, three question survey. Once all of the data we will be hosting an informational session for parents to explain the program. Mr. Sebelin and Dr. McGalla will present the LAEC Learning Loss program on October 21, 2021 in the LAEC cafeteria from 6-7 pm. All interested parents should attend.
Along with parent requests, classroom teachers will make recommendations to parents of children who have scored below benchmark levels on recent assessments, through daily observations, and report card scores. We will be focusing on math and reading skills.
Please take a few moments to complete the survey link attached to this message. You can also find the link on our school website.
Feel free to contact Mr. Sebelin or Dr. McGalla if you have questions about the learning loss program being offered at our school.
