    Today is Monday, September 20, 2021 and it is Day 2.


     Athletics

    Baseball has open workouts at 3:00 p.m.

    Boys' Basketball has open workouts at 3:00 p.m.

    Cross Country has practice at 3:00 p.m.

    Football has practice at 3:15 p.m.

    Field Hockey has home games against Saucon Valley. Varsity is at 4:15 p.m. and Junior Varsity is at 5:15 p.m.

    Girls' Soccer has away matches against Pottsville. Junior Varsity is at 5:00 p.m. and Varsity is at 6:15 p.m. Departure time is 3:15 p.m.

    Junior Varsity Football has an away game at 5:45 p.m. against Northwestern Lehigh. Departure time is 4:15 p.m.

    Boys' Soccer has practice at 6:30 p.m.

    Varsity Volleyball has an away game at 7:00 p.m. against Jim Thorpe. Departure time is 4:15 p.m.


     Financial Aid Workshop

    A virtual Financial Aid Workshop will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2021 for Lehighton Area High students and families.

    Mr. Joe Alaimo, Financial Aid Director from Gwynedd Mercy University, will be presenting and will guide parents/guardians through an important first step in financial planning for college. The workshop will include “What Financial Aid is All About” and information on completing the Federal Student Aid Form (FAFSA).

    Please RSVP in the guidance office at 610-377-7600 between 7:30 A.M. and 3:30 P.M. Please provide an email address for us to send you the zoom link prior to the presentation.


     FBLA Meeting

    There will be a general FBLA meeting on Monday, September 20th during Enrichment in the auditorium. Anyone wishing to join FBLA should attend this informational meeting. If you were in FBLA two years ago and would like to be an officer, you should come see Mr. Kotch in C204 anytime before this Friday, September 17th. Any questions or concerns can be directed to Mr. Kotch.


     Students for Life Announcement

    Students For Life is looking for students interested in going to the first annual Pennsylvania March For Life on Monday, September 27th. This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about the principles of effective lobbying, the specific and current issues Pennsylvania is facing, and what you can do right now to champion pro-life policies to our elected representatives. This rally and march is suited for all levels of advocacy. There will be many excellent speakers there including Abby Johnson. Students will have time to tour the capital and speak with senators and state representatives. This trip is completely free and you will need to complete an educational trip form in order to be excused properly. If you have any questions, please see Madison Kemmerer.


     Senior Class Meeting

    LAHS Senior Class will have a senior class meeting on Friday, September 24th, during enrichment in the auditorium. There will be several items being voted on at this meeting so please bring your chrome books. There will also be much information about the students senior year including prom that will be discussed.

     SAT testing – Saturday November 6, 2021

    Friday, October 8th is the last day to register for the November 6th SAT which will be offered at Lehighton High School. Students can register online at www.SAT.org/register. Late registration, which may require an additional fee, is open until October 26th. See Mrs. Martin in guidance for a study guide and/or if you qualify for a fee waiver.

    SAT testing will also be offered on Saturday, December 4th.
