Campus Speed and Traffic Patterns

The safety of our students, staff, and visitors is a top priority for our school district. In support of this commitment, traffic patterns were established at the start of the 2023–2024 school year to promote safe and efficient movement throughout campus.

We ask all drivers to carefully review and follow the guidelines below. Please note that school police officers use their discretion in enforcing these procedures.

General Expectations 

  • Follow all posted traffic signs and directions from school personnel.
  • Drive slowly and remain alert at all times.
  • Be courteous and respectful to other drivers, students, and staff.

Elementary Pick-Up Procedures

  • No parking or stopping is permitted on Union Street or Indian Lane prior to 2:45 PM for afternoon elementary pick-up.
    • Drivers who block traffic before this time will be directed to move by school police.
  • Parents/guardians picking up Elementary Center students must enter campus via the 9th Street entrance. 

Traffic Flow & Enforcement

  • Driving in the oncoming traffic lane is strictly prohibited.
    • Do not cross lines or attempt to drive around stopped vehicles.
    • Violations will result in an immediate citation.

High School Dismissal (2:15–3:15 PM)

  • Staff and students leaving campus during this time must exit via 9th Street.
  • Individuals arriving for athletics or after-school activities between 2:15–3:15 PM must enter via Mahoning Street. 

High School Pick-Up

  • Parents/guardians picking up high school students should not line up before 2:00 PM. 
  • If arriving early, please wait in:
    • The Student Parking Lot in front of the high school, or
    • The Administration Building parking lots until 2:00 PM.
