CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORD CLEARANCES
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania legislation recently amended the Child Protective Services Law, as well as the School Code requirements for new and current school district employees. These specific requirements that impact all current Lehighton Area School District employees are outlined below:
- Current employees with clearances less than 60 months old must update their clearances before the oldest clearance expires.
- Employees must obtain updated criminal history record clearances every 60 months from date of oldest clearance and the employee is responsible for the cost.
The total cost for the required clearances is $60.25
Child Abuse Clearance: $13.00
PA State Police Clearance: $22.00
FBI Clearance: $25.25 (Service code MUST be provided 1KG6XN for school district)
